Nach dem Abbruch der Verhandlungen für das Rahmenabkommen mit der EU sind viel Schweizer Starup's und KMU's direkt von diesem Entscheid betroffen. Als Strafaktion können sie sich in Zukunft nicht mehr mit Einzelprojekten am europäischen Förderprogramm «Horizon» bewerben. Da die Schweiz keine Industriepolitik betreibt, ist auch nicht vorgesehen, dass der Bund in die Bresche springt und KMU's und Startup's direkt mit Bundes-Mitteln fördert. Dies hat tiefgreifende Konsequenzen für die hiesige Start-Up Szene. Die Gefahr ist gross, dass Starup's und junge KMU's deswegen ins Ausland abwandern. Dies wird Auswirkungen auf den Arbeitsmarkt haben und auch die Innovationskraft der Schweiz schwächen!
Der Bundesrat hat nach dem Abbruch der Verhandlungen mit der EU nach wie vor keine Strategie aus dem Dilemma aufgezeigt und es macht den Anschein, dass der Entscheid des Abbruch's planlos geschehen ist. Die Auswirkungen auf die Wissenschaft sowie die Startup- und KMU-Szene werden tiefgreifend sein.
